HEADMASTER'S WELCOME

Welcome to Tanbridge Academy. 2007/08 is our first school year operating as an accredited private school. While we do not have a long history, we do have an exciting future. Through the vision and commitment of Shauna and Ryan Ockey, the Tanbridge Board and our dedicated and talented staff, Tanbridge will become a world leader in providing students with programs to develop their abilities in school and sport.

The key to academic and athletic excellence is the mastery of foundational skills. At Tanbridge, we provide our students with the environment, culture and program to master the necessary skills, and to use those skills in the pursuit of excellence in school and sport.

Our permanent facility will provide Tanbridge students with a home that is second to none. State-of-the-art academic facilities will support teachers and students in their journey toward academic excellence. World-class athletic facilities will provide coaches and athletes with the training programs and opportunities necessary to develop their athletic skills.

The motto of Tanbridge Academy is “Adversity, Perseverance, Triumph”.

Adversity represents the challenges that all students confront as they progress through their school years. Our goal at Tanbridge is not to shield our students from these challenges, but to provide them with the skills they need to overcome adversity.

Perseverance is the process of developing the character and determination necessary to deal with daily challenges and to refocus on the task at hand.

The third part of our motto is Triumph. This represents the intrinsic reward of hard work, the realization of achieving goals, and the satisfaction students gain from working hard for what they have achieved.
